Armenia vs Eastern Africa: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Armenia
- Eastern Africa
How they compare
Armenia currently reports 18.63 kg/ha against 6.95 kg/ha in Eastern Africa, a difference of 11.68 kg/ha.
That makes Armenia's figure about 2.7 times Eastern Africa's.
Across all 32 years both countries report, Armenia has been ahead every year.
Armenia ranks 10th and Eastern Africa ranks 10th of 186 countries.
Armenia has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Armenia | Eastern Africa | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 14.5 kg/ha | 6.32 kg/ha | 8.17 kg/ha | Armenia |
| 2000s | 17.2 kg/ha | 6.41 kg/ha | 10.78 kg/ha | Armenia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
