How they compare

India currently reports 20.63 kg/ha against 18.63 kg/ha in Armenia, a difference of 2 kg/ha.

That makes India's figure about 1.1 times Armenia's.

The two have swapped places 8 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was India ahead.

Armenia ranks 10th and India ranks 7th of 185 countries.

Across the 4 decades both report, Armenia averaged higher in 1 and India in 3.

Head to head by decade

Decade Armenia India Difference Ahead
1990s 14.5 kg/ha 16.33 kg/ha 1.83 kg/ha India
2000s 17.2 kg/ha 17.07 kg/ha 0.1256 kg/ha Armenia
2010s 18.59 kg/ha 19.54 kg/ha 0.9463 kg/ha India
2020s 18.51 kg/ha 20.42 kg/ha 1.91 kg/ha India

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
