Asia vs Viet Nam: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Asia
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Asia currently reports 15.46 kg/ha against 12.59 kg/ha in Viet Nam, a difference of 2.87 kg/ha.
That makes Asia's figure about 1.2 times Viet Nam's.
Across all 63 years both countries report, Asia has been ahead every year.
Asia ranks 1st and Viet Nam ranks 2nd of 18 groups.
Asia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Asia | Viet Nam | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 5.43 kg/ha | 3.6 kg/ha | 1.82 kg/ha | Asia |
| 1970s | 6.54 kg/ha | 4.11 kg/ha | 2.43 kg/ha | Asia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
