How they compare

Uganda currently reports 9.06 kg/ha against 8.48 kg/ha in Brazil, a difference of 0.58 kg/ha.

That makes Uganda's figure about 1.1 times Brazil's.

The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Uganda ahead.

Brazil ranks 42nd and Uganda ranks 39th of 201 countries.

Uganda has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Brazil Uganda Difference Ahead
1960s 4.07 kg/ha 5.19 kg/ha 1.12 kg/ha Uganda
1970s 4.92 kg/ha 5.88 kg/ha 0.9551 kg/ha Uganda
1980s 6.13 kg/ha 7.09 kg/ha 0.9578 kg/ha Uganda

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
