How they compare

Brunei Darussalam currently reports 18.61 kg/ha against 6.9 kg/ha in Europe, a difference of 11.71 kg/ha.

That makes Brunei Darussalam's figure about 2.7 times Europe's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Europe ahead.

Brunei Darussalam ranks 11th and Europe ranks 11th of 186 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Brunei Darussalam averaged higher in 4 and Europe in 3.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
