Cambodia vs Central Asia: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Cambodia
- Central Asia
How they compare
Cambodia currently reports 10.05 kg/ha against 2.95 kg/ha in Central Asia, a difference of 7.1 kg/ha.
That makes Cambodia's figure about 3.4 times Central Asia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Central Asia ahead.
Cambodia ranks 30th and Central Asia ranks 28th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Cambodia averaged higher in 4 and Central Asia in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Cambodia | Central Asia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 3.09 kg/ha | 3.58 kg/ha | 0.484 kg/ha | Central Asia |
| 1970s | 3.74 kg/ha | 4.61 kg/ha | 0.8653 kg/ha | Central Asia |
| 1980s | 4.33 kg/ha | 5.06 kg/ha | 0.7275 kg/ha | Central Asia |
| 1990s | 6.32 kg/ha | 4.09 kg/ha | 2.23 kg/ha | Cambodia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
