Ethiopia PDR vs France: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Ethiopia PDR
- France
How they compare
France currently reports 12.13 kg/ha against 10.94 kg/ha in Ethiopia PDR, a difference of 1.19 kg/ha.
That makes France's figure about 1.1 times Ethiopia PDR's.
Across all 32 years both countries report, France has been ahead every year.
Ethiopia PDR ranks 25th and France ranks 23rd of 186 countries.
France has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Ethiopia PDR | France | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 5.92 kg/ha | 9.34 kg/ha | 3.42 kg/ha | France |
| 1970s | 6.85 kg/ha | 11.28 kg/ha | 4.43 kg/ha | France |
| 1980s | 7.95 kg/ha | 11.8 kg/ha | 3.85 kg/ha | France |
| 1990s | 9.8 kg/ha | 12.05 kg/ha | 2.24 kg/ha | France |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
