Europe vs Republic of Moldova: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Europe
- Republic of Moldova
How they compare
Europe currently reports 6.9 kg/ha against 6.34 kg/ha in Republic of Moldova, a difference of 0.56 kg/ha.
That makes Europe's figure about 1.1 times Republic of Moldova's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Republic of Moldova ahead.
Europe ranks 11th and Republic of Moldova ranks 8th of 29 groups.
Across the 4 decades both report, Europe averaged higher in 1 and Republic of Moldova in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Europe | Republic of Moldova | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 7.93 kg/ha | 8.92 kg/ha | 0.9937 kg/ha | Republic of Moldova |
| 2000s | 7.09 kg/ha | 7.19 kg/ha | 0.0937 kg/ha | Republic of Moldova |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
