Finland vs Mauritania: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Finland
- Mauritania
How they compare
Mauritania currently reports 2.54 kg/ha against 2.42 kg/ha in Finland, a difference of 0.12 kg/ha.
That makes Mauritania's figure about 1.1 times Finland's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Finland ahead.
Finland ranks 165th and Mauritania ranks 163rd of 185 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Finland averaged higher in 6 and Mauritania in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Finland | Mauritania | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 3.12 kg/ha | 1.33 kg/ha | 1.79 kg/ha | Finland |
| 1970s | 3.99 kg/ha | 1.46 kg/ha | 2.54 kg/ha | Finland |
| 1980s | 4.08 kg/ha | 1.68 kg/ha | 2.4 kg/ha | Finland |
| 1990s | 2.92 kg/ha | 2.11 kg/ha | 0.8171 kg/ha | Finland |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
