Iceland vs New Caledonia: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Iceland
- New Caledonia
How they compare
Iceland currently reports 0.5209 kg/ha against 0.4583 kg/ha in New Caledonia, a difference of 0.0626 kg/ha.
That makes Iceland's figure about 1.1 times New Caledonia's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Iceland ahead.
Iceland ranks 183rd and New Caledonia ranks 185th of 185 countries.
Iceland has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Iceland | New Caledonia | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
