Iceland vs Suriname: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Iceland
- Suriname
How they compare
Suriname currently reports 1.02 kg/ha against 0.5209 kg/ha in Iceland, a difference of 0.4991 kg/ha.
That makes Suriname's figure about 2.0 times Iceland's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Iceland ahead.
Iceland ranks 183rd and Suriname ranks 181st of 185 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Iceland averaged higher in 3 and Suriname in 4.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Iceland | Suriname | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
