India vs Israel: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- India
- Israel
How they compare
Israel currently reports 23.7 kg/ha against 20.63 kg/ha in India, a difference of 3.07 kg/ha.
That makes Israel's figure about 1.1 times India's.
The two have swapped places 9 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was India ahead.
India ranks 7th and Israel ranks 6th of 185 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, India averaged higher in 5 and Israel in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | India | Israel | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 8.03 kg/ha | 5.23 kg/ha | 2.8 kg/ha | India |
| 1970s | 9.27 kg/ha | 6.5 kg/ha | 2.77 kg/ha | India |
| 1980s | 12.14 kg/ha | 9.46 kg/ha | 2.67 kg/ha | India |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
