India vs Least Developed Countries (LDCs): Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- India
- Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
How they compare
India currently reports 20.63 kg/ha against 7.67 kg/ha in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), a difference of 12.96 kg/ha.
That makes India's figure about 2.7 times Least Developed Countries (LDCs)'s.
Across all 63 years both countries report, India has been ahead every year.
India ranks 7th and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) ranks 7th of 185 countries.
India has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
