How they compare

Uzbekistan currently reports 3.48 kg/ha against 3.3 kg/ha in Kyrgyzstan, a difference of 0.18 kg/ha.

That makes Uzbekistan's figure about 1.1 times Kyrgyzstan's.

The two have swapped places 5 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Kyrgyzstan ahead.

Kyrgyzstan ranks 150th and Uzbekistan ranks 149th of 186 countries.

Uzbekistan has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Difference Ahead
1990s 3.32 kg/ha 3.38 kg/ha 0.0585 kg/ha Uzbekistan
2000s 2.91 kg/ha 3.05 kg/ha 0.1397 kg/ha Uzbekistan
2010s 3.21 kg/ha 3.36 kg/ha 0.1534 kg/ha Uzbekistan
2020s 3.28 kg/ha 3.48 kg/ha 0.2068 kg/ha Uzbekistan

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
