Melanesia vs Samoa: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Melanesia
- Samoa
How they compare
Melanesia currently reports 1.38 kg/ha against 0.5297 kg/ha in Samoa, a difference of 0.8503 kg/ha.
That makes Melanesia's figure about 2.6 times Samoa's.
Across all 63 years both countries report, Melanesia has been ahead every year.
Melanesia ranks 195th and Samoa ranks 198th of 201 countries.
Melanesia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
