Papua New Guinea vs Suriname: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Papua New Guinea
- Suriname
How they compare
Papua New Guinea currently reports 1.39 kg/ha against 1.02 kg/ha in Suriname, a difference of 0.37 kg/ha.
That makes Papua New Guinea's figure about 1.4 times Suriname's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Suriname ahead.
Papua New Guinea ranks 181st and Suriname ranks 182nd of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Papua New Guinea averaged higher in 6 and Suriname in 1.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
