How they compare

Polynesia currently reports 1.32 kg/ha against 1.02 kg/ha in Suriname, a difference of 0.3 kg/ha.

That makes Polynesia's figure about 1.3 times Suriname's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Polynesia ahead.

Polynesia ranks 196th and Suriname ranks 197th of 201 countries.

Polynesia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Polynesia Suriname Difference Ahead
1960s 1.18 kg/ha 0.9154 kg/ha 0.2596 kg/ha Polynesia
1970s 1.21 kg/ha 0.9806 kg/ha 0.2288 kg/ha Polynesia

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
