Slovakia vs Southern Africa: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Slovakia
- Southern Africa
How they compare
Slovakia currently reports 10.09 kg/ha against 4.7 kg/ha in Southern Africa, a difference of 5.39 kg/ha.
That makes Slovakia's figure about 2.1 times Southern Africa's.
Across all 31 years both countries report, Slovakia has been ahead every year.
Slovakia ranks 29th and Southern Africa ranks 25th of 186 countries.
Slovakia has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Slovakia | Southern Africa | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 10.62 kg/ha | 5.02 kg/ha | 5.6 kg/ha | Slovakia |
| 2000s | 10.79 kg/ha | 5.06 kg/ha | 5.73 kg/ha | Slovakia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
