How they compare

Uzbekistan currently reports 3.48 kg/ha against 3.3 kg/ha in Sri Lanka, a difference of 0.18 kg/ha.

That makes Uzbekistan's figure about 1.1 times Sri Lanka's.

The two have swapped places 4 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Uzbekistan ahead.

Sri Lanka ranks 151st and Uzbekistan ranks 149th of 186 countries.

Across the 4 decades both report, Sri Lanka averaged higher in 3 and Uzbekistan in 1.

Head to head by decade

Decade Sri Lanka Uzbekistan Difference Ahead
1990s 3.34 kg/ha 3.38 kg/ha 0.0341 kg/ha Uzbekistan
2000s 3.52 kg/ha 3.05 kg/ha 0.472 kg/ha Sri Lanka
2010s 3.98 kg/ha 3.36 kg/ha 0.6221 kg/ha Sri Lanka
2020s 3.59 kg/ha 3.48 kg/ha 0.1058 kg/ha Sri Lanka

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
