China vs Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs): Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen over time
- China
- Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs)
How they compare
China currently reports 3.11 million t against 2.47 million t in Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs), a difference of 632,370 t.
That makes China's figure about 1.3 times Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs)'s.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs) ahead.
China ranks 2nd and Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs) ranks 5th of 201 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, China averaged higher in 5 and Net Food Importing Developing Countries (NFIDCs) in 2.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
