Croatia vs Nicaragua: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Croatia
- Nicaragua
How they compare
Nicaragua currently reports 7,995 t against 6,480 t in Croatia, a difference of 1,515 t.
That makes Nicaragua's figure about 1.2 times Croatia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Croatia ahead.
Croatia ranks 102nd and Nicaragua ranks 99th of 186 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Croatia averaged higher in 1 and Nicaragua in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Croatia | Nicaragua | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 8,830 t | 6,780 t | 2,050 t | Croatia |
| 2000s | 6,938 t | 8,924 t | 1,985 t | Nicaragua |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
