France vs Northern Africa: Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen
Atmospheric deposition — Cropland nitrogen over time
- France
- Northern Africa
How they compare
Northern Africa currently reports 257,338 t against 217,512 t in France, a difference of 39,826 t.
That makes Northern Africa's figure about 1.2 times France's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was France ahead.
France ranks 14th and Northern Africa ranks 19th of 186 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, France averaged higher in 5 and Northern Africa in 2.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
