How they compare

Argentina currently reports 52.73 kg/ha against 27.1 kg/ha in Eastern Asia, a difference of 25.63 kg/ha.

That makes Argentina's figure about 1.9 times Eastern Asia's.

The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Eastern Asia ahead.

Argentina ranks 4th and Eastern Asia ranks 4th of 176 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Argentina averaged higher in 4 and Eastern Asia in 3.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
