How they compare

Norway currently reports 0.5808 kg/ha against 0.5043 kg/ha in Azerbaijan, a difference of 0.0765 kg/ha.

That makes Norway's figure about 1.2 times Azerbaijan's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Azerbaijan ahead.

Azerbaijan ranks 174th and Norway ranks 173rd of 191 countries.

Azerbaijan has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
