Azerbaijan vs Puerto Rico: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Azerbaijan
- Puerto Rico
How they compare
Puerto Rico currently reports 0.6504 kg/ha against 0.5043 kg/ha in Azerbaijan, a difference of 0.1461 kg/ha.
That makes Puerto Rico's figure about 1.3 times Azerbaijan's.
The two have swapped places 12 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Puerto Rico ahead.
Azerbaijan ranks 159th and Puerto Rico ranks 157th of 176 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Azerbaijan averaged higher in 1 and Puerto Rico in 3.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
