How they compare

Romania currently reports 3.19 kg/ha against 2.87 kg/ha in Belarus, a difference of 0.32 kg/ha.

That makes Romania's figure about 1.1 times Belarus's.

The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Belarus ahead.

Belarus ranks 130th and Romania ranks 127th of 191 countries.

Across the 4 decades both report, Belarus averaged higher in 3 and Romania in 1.

Head to head by decade

Decade Belarus Romania Difference Ahead
1990s 2.33 kg/ha 1.33 kg/ha 1 kg/ha Belarus

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
