Bhutan vs Lebanon: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Bhutan
- Lebanon
How they compare
Lebanon currently reports 4.07 kg/ha against 3.78 kg/ha in Bhutan, a difference of 0.29 kg/ha.
That makes Lebanon's figure about 1.1 times Bhutan's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Bhutan ahead.
Bhutan ranks 110th and Lebanon ranks 107th of 176 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Bhutan averaged higher in 6 and Lebanon in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bhutan | Lebanon | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 5.35 kg/ha | 3.93 kg/ha | 1.42 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 1970s | 6.01 kg/ha | 3.69 kg/ha | 2.32 kg/ha | Bhutan |
| 1980s | 7.53 kg/ha | 4.08 kg/ha | 3.46 kg/ha | Bhutan |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
