How they compare

Georgia currently reports 0.8782 kg/ha against 0.6835 kg/ha in Bulgaria, a difference of 0.1947 kg/ha.

That makes Georgia's figure about 1.3 times Bulgaria's.

The two have swapped places 5 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Bulgaria ahead.

Bulgaria ranks 171st and Georgia ranks 168th of 191 countries.

Across the 4 decades both report, Bulgaria averaged higher in 2 and Georgia in 2.

Head to head by decade

Decade Bulgaria Georgia Difference Ahead
1990s 1.1 kg/ha 0.5693 kg/ha 0.5338 kg/ha Bulgaria
2000s 0.4423 kg/ha 1.04 kg/ha 0.5946 kg/ha Georgia

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
