Bulgaria vs Norway: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Bulgaria
- Norway
How they compare
Bulgaria currently reports 0.6835 kg/ha against 0.5808 kg/ha in Norway, a difference of 0.1027 kg/ha.
That makes Bulgaria's figure about 1.2 times Norway's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Bulgaria ahead.
Bulgaria ranks 171st and Norway ranks 173rd of 191 countries.
Bulgaria has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bulgaria | Norway | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
