Burundi vs China, mainland: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Burundi
- China, mainland
How they compare
Burundi currently reports 32.58 kg/ha against 28.15 kg/ha in China, mainland, a difference of 4.43 kg/ha.
That makes Burundi's figure about 1.2 times China, mainland's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was China, mainland ahead.
Burundi ranks 13th and China, mainland ranks 16th of 176 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Burundi averaged higher in 1 and China, mainland in 6.
Head to head by decade

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
