How they compare

Eastern Asia currently reports 27.1 kg/ha against 17.51 kg/ha in Cabo Verde, a difference of 9.59 kg/ha.

That makes Eastern Asia's figure about 1.5 times Cabo Verde's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Eastern Asia ahead.

Cabo Verde ranks 8th and Eastern Asia ranks 6th of 29 countries.

Eastern Asia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Cabo Verde Eastern Asia Difference Ahead
1960s 14.35 kg/ha 22.93 kg/ha 8.57 kg/ha Eastern Asia
1970s 3.21 kg/ha 22.96 kg/ha 19.76 kg/ha Eastern Asia

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
