Central America vs Guinea: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Central America
- Guinea
How they compare
Guinea currently reports 20.35 kg/ha against 5.02 kg/ha in Central America, a difference of 15.33 kg/ha.
That makes Guinea's figure about 4.1 times Central America's.
The two have swapped places 12 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Guinea ahead.
Central America ranks 27th and Guinea ranks 25th of 32 groups.
Across the 7 decades both report, Central America averaged higher in 2 and Guinea in 5.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Central America | Guinea | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
