Chile vs Jordan: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Chile
- Jordan
How they compare
Chile currently reports 1.89 kg/ha against 1.76 kg/ha in Jordan, a difference of 0.13 kg/ha.
That makes Chile's figure about 1.1 times Jordan's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Jordan ahead.
Chile ranks 151st and Jordan ranks 153rd of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Chile averaged higher in 5 and Jordan in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Chile | Jordan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.53 kg/ha | 8.24 kg/ha | 6.72 kg/ha | Jordan |
| 1970s | 1.82 kg/ha | 4.67 kg/ha | 2.85 kg/ha | Jordan |
| 1980s | 2.69 kg/ha | 2.25 kg/ha | 0.4408 kg/ha | Chile |
| 1990s | 3.09 kg/ha | 1.68 kg/ha | 1.41 kg/ha | Chile |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
