Denmark vs Tajikistan: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Denmark
- Tajikistan
How they compare
Tajikistan currently reports 3.73 kg/ha against 3.48 kg/ha in Denmark, a difference of 0.25 kg/ha.
That makes Tajikistan's figure about 1.1 times Denmark's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Denmark ahead.
Denmark ranks 123rd and Tajikistan ranks 120th of 191 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Denmark averaged higher in 1 and Tajikistan in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Denmark | Tajikistan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 7.74 kg/ha | 1.07 kg/ha | 6.66 kg/ha | Denmark |
| 2000s | 1.86 kg/ha | 2.27 kg/ha | 0.4088 kg/ha | Tajikistan |
| 2010s | 1.25 kg/ha | 3.93 kg/ha | 2.68 kg/ha | Tajikistan |
| 2020s | 3.41 kg/ha | 3.75 kg/ha | 0.3418 kg/ha | Tajikistan |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
