How they compare

Ecuador currently reports 5.48 kg/ha against 5.21 kg/ha in Solomon Islands, a difference of 0.27 kg/ha.

That makes Ecuador's figure about 1.1 times Solomon Islands's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Ecuador ahead.

Ecuador ranks 101st and Solomon Islands ranks 104th of 191 countries.

Ecuador has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Ecuador Solomon Islands Difference Ahead
1960s 4.56 kg/ha 2.05 kg/ha 2.51 kg/ha Ecuador
1970s 4.2 kg/ha 2.93 kg/ha 1.28 kg/ha Ecuador
1980s 6.03 kg/ha 3.48 kg/ha 2.55 kg/ha Ecuador

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
