Estonia vs Eswatini: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Estonia
- Eswatini
How they compare
Estonia currently reports 10.74 kg/ha against 10.02 kg/ha in Eswatini, a difference of 0.72 kg/ha.
That makes Estonia's figure about 1.1 times Eswatini's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Eswatini ahead.
Estonia ranks 67th and Eswatini ranks 70th of 191 countries.
Across the 4 decades both report, Estonia averaged higher in 1 and Eswatini in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Estonia | Eswatini | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 0.4296 kg/ha | 8.88 kg/ha | 8.45 kg/ha | Eswatini |
| 2000s | 0.6408 kg/ha | 9.42 kg/ha | 8.78 kg/ha | Eswatini |
| 2010s | 5.08 kg/ha | 10.03 kg/ha | 4.96 kg/ha | Eswatini |
| 2020s | 10.2 kg/ha | 9.94 kg/ha | 0.2619 kg/ha | Estonia |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
