How they compare

Guinea currently reports 20.35 kg/ha against 5.36 kg/ha in Europe, a difference of 14.99 kg/ha.

That makes Guinea's figure about 3.8 times Europe's.

Across all 63 years both countries report, Guinea has been ahead every year.

Europe ranks 26th and Guinea ranks 25th of 32 groups.

Guinea has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Europe Guinea Difference Ahead
1960s 2.55 kg/ha 4.66 kg/ha 2.11 kg/ha Guinea

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
