How they compare

Mongolia currently reports 0.094 kg/ha against 0.0683 kg/ha in French Polynesia, a difference of 0.0257 kg/ha.

That makes Mongolia's figure about 1.4 times French Polynesia's.

The two have swapped places 8 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mongolia ahead.

French Polynesia ranks 182nd and Mongolia ranks 181st of 191 countries.

Mongolia has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
