How they compare

Yemen currently reports 3.47 kg/ha against 3.26 kg/ha in Germany, a difference of 0.21 kg/ha.

That makes Yemen's figure about 1.1 times Germany's.

The two have swapped places 10 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Yemen ahead.

Germany ranks 126th and Yemen ranks 124th of 191 countries.

Yemen has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Germany Yemen Difference Ahead
1960s 1.39 kg/ha 2.04 kg/ha 0.6474 kg/ha Yemen
1970s 0.8528 kg/ha 3.58 kg/ha 2.72 kg/ha Yemen
1980s 1.41 kg/ha 2.79 kg/ha 1.38 kg/ha Yemen

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
