Israel vs Russian Federation: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Israel
- Russian Federation
How they compare
Russian Federation currently reports 5.58 kg/ha against 5.22 kg/ha in Israel, a difference of 0.36 kg/ha.
That makes Russian Federation's figure about 1.1 times Israel's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 32 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Israel ahead.
Israel ranks 97th and Russian Federation ranks 94th of 176 countries.
Israel has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Israel | Russian Federation | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 4.21 kg/ha | 1.36 kg/ha | 2.86 kg/ha | Israel |
| 2000s | 4.88 kg/ha | 1.27 kg/ha | 3.61 kg/ha | Israel |
| 2010s | 4.49 kg/ha | 2.93 kg/ha | 1.56 kg/ha | Israel |
| 2020s | 5.75 kg/ha | 4.85 kg/ha | 0.8999 kg/ha | Israel |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
