How they compare

Lebanon currently reports 4.07 kg/ha against 3.8 kg/ha in Mexico, a difference of 0.27 kg/ha.

That makes Lebanon's figure about 1.1 times Mexico's.

The two have swapped places 9 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mexico ahead.

Lebanon ranks 114th and Mexico ranks 117th of 191 countries.

Across the 7 decades both report, Lebanon averaged higher in 1 and Mexico in 6.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
