New Caledonia vs Oman: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- New Caledonia
- Oman
How they compare
Oman currently reports 0.0528 kg/ha against 0.0208 kg/ha in New Caledonia, a difference of 0.032 kg/ha.
That makes Oman's figure about 2.5 times New Caledonia's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was New Caledonia ahead.
New Caledonia ranks 184th and Oman ranks 183rd of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, New Caledonia averaged higher in 5 and Oman in 2.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
