Norway vs Puerto Rico: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Norway
- Puerto Rico
How they compare
Puerto Rico currently reports 0.6504 kg/ha against 0.5808 kg/ha in Norway, a difference of 0.0696 kg/ha.
That makes Puerto Rico's figure about 1.1 times Norway's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Puerto Rico ahead.
Norway ranks 158th and Puerto Rico ranks 157th of 176 countries.
Puerto Rico has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
