How they compare

Oceania currently reports 11.2 kg/ha against 1.38 kg/ha in Polynesia, a difference of 9.82 kg/ha.

That makes Oceania's figure about 8.1 times Polynesia's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Oceania ahead.

Oceania ranks 17th and Polynesia ranks 17th of 29 groups.

Oceania has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Oceania Polynesia Difference Ahead
1960s 0.6917 kg/ha 0.6407 kg/ha 0.051 kg/ha Oceania
1970s 1.67 kg/ha 0.7411 kg/ha 0.9317 kg/ha Oceania

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
