Papua New Guinea vs Puerto Rico: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Papua New Guinea
- Puerto Rico
How they compare
Papua New Guinea currently reports 0.6878 kg/ha against 0.6504 kg/ha in Puerto Rico, a difference of 0.0374 kg/ha.
That makes Papua New Guinea's figure about 1.1 times Puerto Rico's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Puerto Rico ahead.
Papua New Guinea ranks 155th and Puerto Rico ranks 157th of 176 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Papua New Guinea averaged higher in 2 and Puerto Rico in 5.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
