Romania vs Yemen: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Romania
- Yemen
How they compare
Yemen currently reports 3.47 kg/ha against 3.19 kg/ha in Romania, a difference of 0.28 kg/ha.
That makes Yemen's figure about 1.1 times Romania's.
The two have swapped places 9 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Romania ahead.
Romania ranks 127th and Yemen ranks 124th of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Romania averaged higher in 2 and Yemen in 5.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Romania | Yemen | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 2.24 kg/ha | 2.04 kg/ha | 0.1971 kg/ha | Romania |
| 1970s | 2.87 kg/ha | 3.58 kg/ha | 0.7074 kg/ha | Yemen |
| 1980s | 3.98 kg/ha | 2.79 kg/ha | 1.19 kg/ha | Romania |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
