Rwanda vs Small island developing States (SIDS): Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Rwanda
- Small island developing States (SIDS)
How they compare
Rwanda currently reports 21.74 kg/ha against 7.17 kg/ha in Small island developing States (SIDS), a difference of 14.57 kg/ha.
That makes Rwanda's figure about 3.0 times Small island developing States (SIDS)'s.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Small island developing States (SIDS) ahead.
Rwanda ranks 21st and Small island developing States (SIDS) ranks 23rd of 191 countries.
Rwanda has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
