Togo vs Western Asia: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Togo
- Western Asia
How they compare
Togo currently reports 18.29 kg/ha against 2.99 kg/ha in Western Asia, a difference of 15.3 kg/ha.
That makes Togo's figure about 6.1 times Western Asia's.
The two have swapped places 18 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Togo ahead.
Togo ranks 30th and Western Asia ranks 30th of 176 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Togo averaged higher in 5 and Western Asia in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Togo | Western Asia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 2.7 kg/ha | 1.65 kg/ha | 1.06 kg/ha | Togo |
| 1970s | 2.13 kg/ha | 1.82 kg/ha | 0.3062 kg/ha | Togo |
| 1980s | 3.21 kg/ha | 3.28 kg/ha | 0.0651 kg/ha | Western Asia |
| 1990s | 3.82 kg/ha | 3.9 kg/ha | 0.0791 kg/ha | Western Asia |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
