Afghanistan vs Republic of Korea: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Afghanistan
- Republic of Korea
How they compare
Republic of Korea currently reports 0.0594 Mt CO2e against 0.0518 Mt CO2e in Afghanistan, a difference of 0.0076 Mt CO2e.
That makes Republic of Korea's figure about 1.1 times Afghanistan's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Republic of Korea ahead.
Afghanistan ranks 81st and Republic of Korea ranks 80th of 109 countries.
Republic of Korea has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Afghanistan | Republic of Korea | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0428 Mt CO2e | 0.4671 Mt CO2e | 0.4242 Mt CO2e | Republic of Korea |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
