Azerbaijan vs Kazakhstan: Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Azerbaijan
- Kazakhstan
How they compare
Azerbaijan currently reports 0.2177 Mt CO2e against 0.1955 Mt CO2e in Kazakhstan, a difference of 0.0222 Mt CO2e.
That makes Azerbaijan's figure about 1.1 times Kazakhstan's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Kazakhstan ahead.
Azerbaijan ranks 52nd and Kazakhstan ranks 55th of 109 countries.
Kazakhstan has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Azerbaijan | Kazakhstan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0468 Mt CO2e | 0.0805 Mt CO2e | 0.0338 Mt CO2e | Kazakhstan |
| 1980s | 0.0605 Mt CO2e | 0.1042 Mt CO2e | 0.0437 Mt CO2e | Kazakhstan |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
